Question: How far should my pool table lights be from the pool table?

I am hanging lights above my pool table, and I am not sure how low they should hang from the table. Any suggestions? Or is there a regulation height from the table to the light?

From WPA world-standardized specifications, no lower than 40 inches above the table: 15. Lights ...If the light fixture above the table may be moved aside (referee), the minimum height of the fixture should be no lower than 40 inches [1.016 m] above the bed of the table. If the light fixture above the table is non-movable, the fixture should be no lower than 65 inches [1.65 m] above the bed of the table....

The shade should stop the light on the rail where it meets the cloth. Use ambient light to light the rest of the room.
